We take a leisurely drive around the island with plenty of stops for flowers, birds, seals and spectacular island views. Time to learn something of mans’ continuous settlement over 5500 years. |
| |
We arrive at Midhowe Broch and Chambered Cairn at lunchtime. The Broch and Cairn are two of the finest archaeological sites in Orkney, which lie close to the shore. They are only accessible on foot. You are strongly advised to wear good comfortable footwear. |

During the day we will also visit Saviskaill Bay to do a bit of seal spotting, and if we are extremely lucky, an otter or two!
After the tour I will drop you back at the Pier giving you the opportunity to explore the Rousay Heritage Centre. Time permitting you can also visit Trumland House Gardens (Admission £1.50) so you can take a look around the grounds of this impressive former laird’s house.
